★ Longform written pieces should not exceed 15,000 words.
★ The Pit is a non-exclusive publication, meaning if you’ve had work published with us, that does not prohibit you from publishing the same work with another publication.
★ If you want to share work that doesn’t neatly fit into the categories described below, please share it with us anyway! We are always intrigued by inventiveness and ingenuity. If it can be printed, we want to see it.
★ If you have any questions, please ask! Mariana loves receiveing and responding to emails as well as instagram DMs.

What’s next?
Thank you so much for trusting us with your work! Once the submission window closes and all of the work is received, we will deliberate on each piece in its own right and how it fits with the rest of the season’s submissions. You will get a response from us by email indicating whether we have selected your work to be included in the current issue. It may happen that we will accept some pieces and not others if you sent in a selection of many pieces, based on the space available or themes that oftentimes arise naturally out of the selected material. If your piece is not accepted into the current issue, please know that we deeply value the effort that you took to share a piece of your mind and practice with us and we truly hope that you continue to send us new work for future issues, as it might fit in better.
